Meet Our Staff

John Thieme
After graduating from college, in 1983-1991, John worked as an accountant and as the accounting and auditing manager of Klemme and Company, CPA's, prior to leaving to establish his own practice. At the firm, John was primarily responsible for audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements of medium to small business and not-for-profit organizations. 

Rich Adair
Richard G. Adair, CPA, is a 1976 graduate of Indiana University, and is a shareholder in the firm of Thieme and Adair, CPAs.

Mary Hanaway
Mary was born and raised in Monticello, Indiana. She graduated from Twin Lakes High School and Ball State University. She has over 20 years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, and financial statements. She joined Thieme and Adair in December, 2006.

Allison Robinson

Allison is originally from a small town in Southern Indiana called Loogootee. After graduating with a degree in office administration, she relocated to Lafayette and has been with Thieme & Adair since 2006. 


MacKenzie Shepherd

MacKenzie grew up in Francesville, Indiana, and moved to Lafayette in 2010. She studied accounting at the University of Indianapolis. 

MacKenzie joined Thieme & Adair CPAs in January 2012. 


TJ Thieme

Timothy J. Thieme is a 2011 graduate from Purdue University where he majored in Financial Counseling and Planning. He also completed Purdue's Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program in 2010.

He worked for Strategic Financial Group for two years as a Financial Advisor before joining Thieme & Adair CPAs in the fall of 2013.

TJ currently holds a Series 65 license.

He is currently working diligently towards his CPA designation.

In his free time, TJ enjoys going to Purdue football and basketball games and is an avid golfer. 


Heath Riley

Heath V. Riley graduated from Ball State University in the summer of 2012 after obtaining both his Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science degrees in Accounting. Heath also received an athletic scholarship from Ball State and participated on the school's varsity baseball team during his undergraduate career. In May of 2016, Heath received the "3 under 30" award from Ball State's Department of Accounting. This award is given annually by the department to three individuals under the age of 30 who hold positions of responsibility and have demonstrated success in their careers. 

Prior to joining Thieme & Adair CPAs in the summer of 2016, Heath worked as a supervisor at Somerset CPAs and Advisors located in Indianapolis. During his time at Somerset, Heath was responsible for overseeing audits of privately and publicly held companies, as well as audits of employee benefit plans. 

Heath passed all four sections of the CPA examination during the summer of 2012 and received his license in the spring of 2014 after fulfilling the state licensing board's work experience requirements.

During his free time Heath enjoys playing golf, watching/attending sporting events, traveling and spending time with his wife Kathleen and daughter Harper.
